Toyota Crown bodyshell from Yokomo… bought but haven’t start to work on it yet.

Last night was at MOD, played until 2am in the morning, by the time aku tidor pun dah dekat 4am and bangun pukul 6am pegi keje, memang GILA bak kata Black. So, base on the setup as per my previous post, somehow the car was ok but not fine enough. It was counter steering but I think not enough. I was pushing and struggling to maintain the car at angle and the front wheel to counter position through the long corner at MOD. Kesimpulannya kan, memang boleh CS but I was pushing myself which is not good especially for competitions. I’m aiming to have a setup for me to comfortable drive at any time anywhere. So next thing for me to do is as below (changes in italic font):

Front: camber set to -11deg, caster to 4deg, hard springs, dampers on 800 oil, half rebound,  no weights, maximized steering angle, ground clearance 4mm,  no stab bars, toe 0deg and wheel offset 12mm.

Rear: camber set to 0deg, caster to 0deg, soft springs, dampers on 350 oil, full rebound,  ground clearance 7mm,  no stab bars (soon), toe -3deg and wheel offset 10mm.

What I’ve been up to lately was to set this car… its a CS (counter-steer) spec with 1.95 overdrive ratio, powered by a 9.5T motor.

Front: camber set to -11deg, caster to 4deg, soft springs, dampers on 350 oil, half rebound,  no weights, maximized steering angle, ground clearance 4mm,  no stab bars, toe +2deg and wheel offset 12mm.

Rear: camber set to -2deg, caster to 0deg, soft springs, dampers on 450 oil, half rebound,  ground clearance 7mm,  no stab bars (soon), toe -3deg and wheel offset 10mm.

Above is not my final setup but thats what I’m running today and definitely will change as I increase my CS playing time.
