JDM wing

by admin on Nov.21, 2009, under Uncategorized

Early this week as I went through some of the prizes I got,  I found a rear wing. I think its gonna be cool on my new bodyshell though I’m not sure of what brand since its not in a package. Its similar to the one shown in this picture ( I think)…

Anyway, I won’t be able to update anything now until end of this month as I’m away for vacation to Europe. Can’t wait to start drifting back next month. Catch you guys later!

And yes before I forget, Selamat Hari Raya Haji to all :)

More makan-makan

by admin on Nov.16, 2009, under Uncategorized

Can’t believe last week, me & Didie manage to pull a makan2 within few hours. Everyone was there especially our Project Manager who came for a week. We cooked Ayam Masak Merah and the other guys brought some other foods. Felt good when we get together, felt like we’re not alone :) I should do this more often in KL later… ?

Touring for a change?

by admin on Nov.15, 2009, under Uncategorized

Touring for a change? Hehehe Nnahh! I got a call last week from Azman Azam. Kebetulan nama sama pulak tuh.  Might some you Malaysian rc drifters don’t know him (he’s one of the senior touring guys in Malaysia). He’s in London right now, temporarily working.  And while his stay, he entered the local races like I did, but touring laa bukan rc drifting. Nice of him to invite me hehehehehe well not to enter but just experience how they do it over here in UK. Ala-ala nak racun meracun la ni. Kalau aku masuk gerenti bersepah. Kebetulan pulak, he told me that theres another Malaysian coming (touring guy also) can’t remember who. Both of them will enter this club race which will be held on the 21st and 22nd November. I’m definitely going and Azman said I could have a go on his car hmmmmmmmmmmmm…  I’ll take some photos and share in the website after the competition. Mana lah tau terserempak dengan Andy Moore?!

P/S: Did you know that Azman Azam has won several podium places in the UK local races before?

by admin on Nov.10, 2009, under Uncategorized

Last Saturday lepas hantar Didie kerje, is the best time aku & Farraen pergi main sebab nak dapat hari yang tak hujan sekarang agak susah (sejak due menjak asyik hujan je). Track memang kosong sebab mat salleh tak suka main masa sejuk gamak nya, so Melayu 2  orang ni pun kemaruk, sejuk2 pun drift saje laaa kasi test itu setup, kasi belasah sama itu motor (nak test cooling system tu ok ke tak???)

Simply Tasty

by admin on Nov.10, 2009, under Uncategorized

Got this picture yesterday when I was browsing, drooooling at this TA22 taken in Japan car culture meet. This is what I call a cool car. Like how they done every bits on the car and the colour is very tasty, like ice cream paddle-pop color. Definitely be my benchmark car for this year!

And most important of all… crazy camber with wide deep dish in stretched tires is a must for me!

…ending of 2009

by admin on Nov.09, 2009, under Uncategorized

May be too early definitely not too late. Wondering how 2010 will be with lots of rc drift tracks available in Klang Valley on top of the usuals. Let’s see, latest ones we have M.O.D (Ministry of Drift) & TX3. I’ve never been to both but I’m dying to go… by next year :(

Lately I’m keeping my eyes on this…

Due to release by December 2009. Its a been a long time I haven’t use a carbon chassis… (Didie said its just an alasan for me to buy a new chassis). But its true, last time was the Yokomo SSG & BD which I sold. Ever since then I was using a plastic tub chassis. Need to belanja myself this time!

And yeah will go for another JDM style AE86 with wide fenders, deep dish ol skool wheels and stretched tire wannabe look :P

AE86meet09-088

So I’m getting more of these… Hehehehe!

…or probably the bosy-style wheels and the Wangan wing (kind look good on the AEs right?!).

Couldn’t do much now but to wait.

CS kit for Yokomo SD

by admin on Nov.06, 2009, under Uncategorized

untitled

I’ve put in all the available CS kits I have in the market mainly for Yokomo shaft driven. The internal ratio ranges from 3.308 to 1.176. The standard internal drive for Yokomo is 2.353.

To understand the graph better, bare in mind that anything higher than 2.353, the tires will be slower, and anything lower than 2.353, tires will be faster. If we need the rear tires to spin fastest, Yokomo 2.0 is the choice (claimed to be 2 turns faster than the front tires and meant for high grip surface). If we need the rear tires to turn slower than the Yokomo 2.0, we have an option of getting the Yokomo 1.5, Kazama or Active Hobby 1. Apparently Yokomo 1.5, Kazama & Active hobby 1 have ratios close to each other (probably all of them have already discovered that internal ratios between 1.588 and 1.85 is the best for CS?). On the other side, the Active Hobby 2 has a higher internal ratio from the standard, meaning the wheels will turn slower instead of faster, this ratio is meant for the fronts.

So basically if you have all the ratios, you could mix & math which one suits you, your car and road surface. If short of cash, personally I would go for Yokomo 2.0 & Active Hobby 1 together to have it balance. Otherwise, if you have to choose one, I’d go any of these three kit; Yokomo 1.5, Kazama & Active hobby 1.

 Good luck!

Kyosho’s Subaru Impreza 22B

by admin on Nov.05, 2009, under Uncategorized

Not for sale but willing to trade for a new unpainted shell, do offer me.

The shell will be available in KL by new year. Unfortunately Kyosho did not include the stickers (sold seperately). No I don’t know how to get it but some people get away by masking on their own.

In the package is new unpainted Subaru Impreza 22B, spoiler and manual.

Interested please email me at azmanomura@gmail.com

Confession from a driftaholic Part 1

by admin on Nov.05, 2009, under Uncategorized

I got so many plans or shall I say to many things to buy before I go back to KL. Been dreaming of ‘these’ things every night. I’m not got share what I will buy yet but I will share later when I buy only if I buy a chassis, some upgrades, probably a bodyshell, wheelssss and the rest is available yet cheap in KL. Now I will tell you that I’m so addicted to play at KL that when I get back sometime next year in 2010, I will storm and infect Malaysia with the driftaholic fever so bad MUahahahaha!

Hensem kan?!

Hensem kan?!

Farraen's DIY exhaust looks good on the AE86 right?!
