What I have always wanted

by admin on Feb.19, 2009, under Uncategorized

So I’m finally in the development program. It took a while for my employer to screen everyone. The good news is that they’ll be pushing the candidates to take proffessional engineer (IR) and Masters. Muahahah and the best part is it is fully sponsored (Yes it FREE for me) though you get bonded base on 1 to 1 scale. I’m currently doing few research proposal (doing few just in case one get rejected) for the Masters of Engineering (MEng.) and will be sending to few local Universities and see how the result. I was thinking of to take either mechanical friction or engine management system, but we’ll see how…  And for the IR, I’ve registered but I think I need to update and continue my logbook and then only I could apply. So basically its just normal work but 5 times more! Well someone told me “beware of what you wish for…” Well heheheh me always be me, I just follow my feet.

Ternak anak ikan Keli

by admin on Feb.14, 2009, under Uncategorized

So, besides rc drifting, hehehe I just got new interest from my dad, ternak anak ikan keli. At first, I thought its just wasn’t me when my mom told me about the business. But today when I saw my dad did the breeding, it was quiet interesting. I skipped my rc drifting today (soorrry guys I didn’t pick your calls, I was at my backyard) just to help my dad with the ‘breeding’. I’m not going into details. It was really fun and learned something new today. Didie was so excited that she took some pictures.

Setting up without bodyshell?

by admin on Feb.01, 2009, under Uncategorized

Setting up without bodyshell, I don’t really agree with this. Bodyshell really affects your car character, not much but still take into account. I admit sometimes I also malas, hehehe :P . And also how lose you mount your bodyshell also plays a factor on the momentum of the car. Base on my runs, loose mounted shells tends to be twitchy. Well I like mine to be firm and ‘tight’ :D

Traction by ETA???

by admin on Feb.01, 2009, under Uncategorized

Yup I’m also confused. It was yesterday when I put my Yokes on the carpet at Tamiya Underground. Discovered something which I think is very interesting. I was running the Yokes with a 150% ETA. Now before that bare in mind I’m using 10.5T SP with Max Concept Hard tires. At 150% ETA, the car was really understeering on full load but the speed was there. Then out of nowhere I tried this idea to lower down the ETA to 100%. Amazingly, the car drifts at large angle with precision, but sacrifices slight car speed . Weird???

Well come to think of it, back to basics, we hard throttle to break the traction. But in this case, too much wheel speed above the limit (150% ETA) it catches back the traction making the tires so damn grippy on the carpet.  I don’t know about other setup or chassis, but this was the case happened to mine.

Try out & you never know ;) Haidi was giving me the funny face when I showed him… is there something I missed???

And I wonder you guys have fully optimize the controller setup, thats one of the reason most people upgraded to an advanced ones, not just because of frequency clash issues :D
