For the first time, the pioneers of D1-10RC has come to an agreement to unite as a team under the D1-10RC Squadron. Well the members are non other than Naqy, Nat, K-Hole, Fazrin, Eujin, Danial, Haidi, Najib and including myself. Some from FoolTimdeDrifters, some from Magixbox Inc and some from Trinity. Why we unite? Well nothing personal, its just that we just enjoy being together, nothing to do about brand, winnings or achievements. Details about the Squadron will be post later in the D1-10RC website. And the Formula D10 2009 will be our first platform to enter as a TEAM!

Nice to have the original SG Drifters stopping by drift session at RC Planet yesterday. We met some of the pioneers in the world of RC Drifting. Those yang tak tau about SG Drifters, please do your homework. Its an honour to play with you guys! Just for the record, I started to know about RC Drfiting years ago in 2004 when I saw their YouTube clip. Even some of my Azmanomura videos were inspired by their clips. It takes me a year after that to start playing RC Drift… nowadays, within one day jee, you guys & girls  can start anytime anywhere. Thanks to Mr.Haidi.

Well heres the official rumors. The new rc drift competition to hit Malaysia. Non-other than the FORMULA D10 2009. The organizer will do a sole event to survey the participation before a full championship could be done. Whos the organizer? Definitely not Haidi this time. Haidi will be competing alongside Tengku Djan and myself. We’ll soon see whos the guy… and some unofficial rumors that the judges will be real local drifters. Once everything is confirmed, I’m sure the D1-10RC website will post the details. And it is said that it will be held at RC Planet SS19 Subang Jaya… and heres the best part, it will be soon, it will be on Sunday 11 January 2009!

As for me, hey its a good platform for me to prep my car and myself…

Shoot! Dia orang tukar regulation pulak. Sekarang ni limit motor is Brush 18T and Brushless is 10.5T Brushless dah boleh pakai pulak. All Brushless motor must meet BRCA (British Radio Car Association). No china-made motors Tayar still sama which is the Yokomo Single-Ring and HPI -Drift tires. The rest yang lain semua sama except that they seem to be very very very strict. Well, macam biasa la. Entry fee is GBP10.00 per round. Kalau convert sama lah dengan entry fee kat Malaysia ni. Lokasi dia agak bejauhan, probably dalam 100-200km. Tapi time dia dekat-dekat sebab dia orang buat masa Summer, musim panas kan and akan habis championship sebelum Winter starts. Nampak gaya aku & Didie akan jenuh travel. Lagipun I need Didie to be my pit crew pun kan.

Soooo buat masa sekarang ni instead of aku pakai brush motor, baik aku pakai brushless motor 10.5T sebab senang nak jaga sikit, maklum lah negera orang kan. Nak cari brushless motor 10.5T pakai duit lagi pulak sebab sekarang aku ade 7.5T, unless kalau aku boleh cari orang yang pakai 10.5T yang sudi tukar dengan motor aku ni??? Anyone???

2009 punye regulation belum keluar lagi. So I’m planning to do is re-spec my car base on the 2008 regulation. Probably few chnages but just in case they upgrade the motors, I’ve got lower turn motors and my Speed Passion brushless motor anyway. Motors are regulated to 19T Brush only (no brushless). Only NiMH battery (no lipo). Tires, well basically the control tires are Yokomo single ring and HPI T-drift. I’v got both but will be more bias on the HPI since its easy plug n play only. Other than that, I was thinking of putting a 1-way shaft just for fun. All I know is they always do competitions on tarmac.

What to expect? Nothing, just wanna join the fun. As a new comer over there, have to must enter the Clubman series first then later if deem fit then only they upgrade to the expert series.

Today, no changes were made from my last spec except for the 1-way shaft, new bearings and HPI tires. Will have a go this Saturday at RC Planet with a 23T motor and see how.

HPI T-Drift tires over Yokomo TE37 wheels

Last Sunday was the Yokomo GP Round3 2008 held at RC PLanet SS19 Subang Jaya. How was it? It was great although ade 2-3 bende yg disappointing. But miss Naqi, Eujin, Khole, Man AE and few others. Wish u all were there. Overall another great event by Haidi & Hobby Haven. Congrats Haidi!

It was very special because we ran the Best 16 in the rain. Hujan tu tak lah lebat, boleh dikatakan biasa but because the track was really wet. Tengku Djan judged the event, Najib won the Expert Class and Nat won the championship. Well me… aku ni tak lah terer mana pun so I pulled out due to certain reasons. As for now, I’ve got my eyes on some people that I don’t really like. Kira aku tak berapa senang dengan perangai few competitiors that came during the competition. Anyway, I’m not in the mood to story yet so  I’ll move on…

Now whats next? Hmmmm aku nak re-spec back my Yokomo Drift Package so that I could enter D1RCUK 2009 Championship. Tapi still ragu2 untuk pakai Tamiya TB03 pulak lepas kena racun dengan Eujin (damn you Eujin). Tapi semangat Condo masih lagi ade kagi dalam diri aku utk pakai Drift Package aku. Regulation betul2 different like 540 brush motor, control tires, bodyshell, etc. Macam mane aku nak buat tuh nanti aku blog kemudian. Aku pun bukannye rushing sangat pun sebab aku ade banyak lagi keje penting daripada tulis blog ni. OKay first things first, aku nak beli HPI tires utk aku set balik n nak try 1-way shaft. Aku dah lama tak try 1-way shaft, aku dah biasa sgt dgn 1-way diff.

What happen to the TRF415MRE … actually 415CYE. Ade lagi cuma maybe sebab banyak sgt bende nak buat makes me out of focus and donw know where to start. Maybe aku akan start dgn dismantle dua-dua chassis aku dulu sebab takut bearing aku karat, ye lah sebab last weekend aku belasah dalam hujan kan…

This Saturday? Of course definitely! I wanna tryout my one-way shaft on the DP. (*Sayang if you read this, sekejap je tak main lama-lama pun).
